I specialise in creating relaxed, meaningful, and completely personalised ceremonies that feel natural, not scripted. Whether you’re standing on a mountain, beside a lake, or in your own backyard, I’ll guide you through a ceremony that feels true to you.

As a wedding celebrant in Central Otago, I work with couples across Cromwell, Wanaka, Queenstown, and beyond from simple elopements to larger celebrations. Every ceremony is different. Everyone is personal.

Legal Marriage Ceremony

I take care of all legal requirements on the day, ensuring your marriage is official and stress-free.

I can guide you through the marriage licence requirements that you need to apply for between 3 months to 3 days before the wedding date.

Elopements or Weddings

From just the two of you to small gatherings to larger weddings, I specialise in intentional, meaningful celebrations.

As an elopement celebrant in New Zealand, I'm used to working in remote spots, on short timelines, and with couples who just want it to feel real. No big production needed.

Planning an elopement or wedding in Central Otago, Queenstown or Wanaka? Here are answers to the most common questions couples ask when choosing a celebrant

  • Most ceremonies are 10–20 minutes, depending on what you include.

    Elopements tend to be shorter and more intimate, while full weddings may include readings, personal vows, or cultural elements.

    It can really be as short or as long as you wish. I have had elopements where the couple have spoken vows that took 15 minutes each and large weddings where is was all over in 10 minutes. It is completely up to you.

  • Yes — I specialise in ceremonies across Central Otago, Wanaka, Cromwell, Queenstown, and the rest of Otago. I am very happy to travel further a field too.

    Travel within the Cromwell area is usually included in elopement packages. For further locations, I’ll provide a clear travel quote upfront.

    Unfortunately I am only allowed to perform legal ceremonies in New Zealand and not overseas at this stage.

  • We always need to have a backup plan in place.

    This could be a sheltered location, marquee, or simply embracing the weather (which can actually make for incredible photos). I’ll help you think this through during planning so nothing feels stressful on the day.

  • Yes — as a registered celebrant, I take care of all the legal requirements.

    I’ll guide you through:

    • Marriage licence

    • Required wording during the ceremony

    • Signing of documents

    So everything is handled correctly and easily.

  • Definitely.

    Your ceremony can include anything meaningful to you — readings, rituals, cultural elements, family involvement, or something completely unique. I’ll help weave it together so it feels cohesive and natural.

  • For most elopements and small weddings, a rehearsal isn’t necessary.

    For larger or more structured weddings, I offer rehearsals as an add-on to help everyone feel confident and relaxed.

  • I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak seasons (summer and autumn in Central Otago).

    That said, if you’re planning something spontaneous — reach out! I thrive on creating last-minute elopements.

    It doesn’t have to been just on weekends either. Any day of the week is a great day to get married!

  • To get married in NZ, you need to:

    1. Apply for a marriage licence

    2. Have a registered celebrant perform the ceremony

    3. Include the required legal wording

    4. Sign the official documents

    I guide you through every step to make the process easy and clear.

  • Absolutely! I call them your “Bridesmaids” as they are there to help you with your dress train, to throw rose petals, blow bubbles, wrangle kids or any other wee job that needs doing, as well and signing the paperwork.

  • A celebrant-led ceremony is fully personalised — unlike registry ceremonies, there are no strict scripts or limits.

    This means your ceremony can reflect your story, your personalities, and what truly matters to you.
